Ignatiy Konstantiniovich Berezin was born in Sochi, Russia on June 18, 1998 to Konstantin & Tanya. Ignatiy had a fairly stable childhood in early post-Soviet Russia, and found himself deeply enthralled with books about history, psychology, and sociology. However his parents, mainly his father, fearing for the young man's social life forced him into sports and athletics. Ignatiy excelled at this as immense effort from his coaches and family was put into him, but this left him with little time to focus on his true passions.

In secondary school, Ignatiy had found an outlet that let him explore both the physical demands of his parents and the arts he loved; the military. He took up activities such as shooting and cross country, but also continued his hobbies of reading and tinkering. He placed himself into the YAM, or Junior Officers program, however he quickly left after taking a strong dislike to the other officer candidates. He instead would transfer to the Signal Corps.

At age 18 he enlisted after graduation, and immediately was sent for basic training in Stavropol, where he excelled and earned a medal for Military Valour. He then moved onto signals school and was briefly placed in the 49th Army signals battalion. After that he transferred to the newly formed 320th Motorized battalion. He was stationed as a Lt's radioman in Troitskoe military base. Throughout his military career Ignatiy always would strive to please his superiors in hopes of gaining a promotion, but so far it had not born fruit.
